This type of chair is another one that can make or break a room simply based on the fact that most of the time, behind the computer desks in an office, the executive chair is the focal point.  The executive desk chair is a very important part in the feel of the room. This feel really depends on what your intent is for your relaxing environment that you are trying to create. If you are in a public office location than you might consider the way your executive office chair looks. This is going to be the one of two things. The first idea is, the bigger the chair, the more powerful the more intimidating your office space. If this is the impression you are going after than this is the executive chair for you. The next idea of the executive chair is a smaller chair that shows equality and proportion to the others in the room creating more of a productive, equal environment with your employees and the less intimidating of an office environment.  Either way choosing an executive chair is one of the most important decisions for any office home or public.

Option #1: Large and In Charge

With this chair the main focus is to have a large back rest. The executive chair that tends to have the most impact is the “V” chair. Large on top and gets smaller as you work your way down to the person that will be seating in the chair.  The most important part is the top that looks like an extension of someone shoulders. This kind of chair comes in hundreds of finishes and styles and you can find them for fairly reasonable prices, due to their popularity. The most common chair in the large and in charge category is the executive leather chair. This chair has the universal look that really can fit in with any décor that your office might have. Clean sleek and most important modern is what this chair says about you and your office. One thing that tends to go hand and hand with leather chairs is not just by having a leather chair but having an executive swivel chair as well. This feature is not only popular because of look but also functional. When you have a large office with a large desk you need to be able to swivel from side to side to be as productive as you can be. This executive desk chair is definitely the thing that is a head turner.

Option #2: Equal and Productive

With this type of executive chair we still see a difference from other chairs in the office but the differences are not so apparent. Most of the time we see these executive chairs that are equal height and impact in home offices but if set up properly have a slight difference in color and detail such as rivets or buttons. Studies have also shown that in the public work sector these chairs help in work production and contributions from people that enter your office and sit across the table from you. Intimidating is not always the best way to go. These chairs are extremely comfortable and like the larger executive chair the most popular material is leather. One thing to shy away from is the mesh material that has become popular in many design firms and home use. This is a cheap light weight material that stretches out and rips easily so after a year they need to be replaced. One of the attractions to this executive chair is that many people with an office like to have a comfortable chair that is not so dominating or overwhelming when their focus is primarily on the work.

The executive chair is an extremely important part to any office. You can find them for extremely reasonable prices in hundreds of styles. These executive office chairs have two main rules: option one stick with the dominating “V” shape or option two keep it comfortable for you and others. Leather is a way to go but you do have other options to choose from when it comes to materials.
