Best Office Plants Available to You

It is very important to be able to sort of bring nature inside especially in such a manufactured environment that an office tends to be. When you are designing your interior it is very important to bring some sort of life in to give the feeling of a relaxing place. This is key to creating a relaxing environment. One of the things you don’t know or realize is that by adding office plants to your indoors you are creating a system. The plants create air and actually take in carbon that we breathe out. By having indoor office plants they are actually filtering the air and helping create an indoor system for you. Well what office plants are great for the indoors to help you achieve not only this look but a creating of a living system?

Requirement 1

Well the tough part to this question is that you are going to have to find plants that do ok with low light. This is primarily because inside you will more than likely be under fluorescent lighting and have very low direct solar gain. You are going to need a light that is ok with low light.

Requirement 2

Since you are probably going to be in an air conditioned office you are probably going to need an office plant that is ok with cool temperature. Sorry, tropical plants will probably die in the offices that I have worked in. For some reason if it breaks 70 degrees the office air conditioner has to be blasting at 60 degrees. Plain and simple you are going to need to have a plant that can tolerate cool temperatures.

Requirement 3

One of the things that many offices will probably require and that is that whatever plants for office use you get, it has to be low maintenance. That means low water, no fertilization and no pruning. Most companies are not going to pay you to be a gardener.

Any of these plants will do just fine. A good idea would be to get a tray to catch any excess water and really create a great design element to your office. If you really do not want to go the real route than you might be interested in silk plants which get rid of any watering or sun problems you might have.
